Savant in the Machine is a narrative puzzle game played outside in Cambridge, MA. It takes two hours and is suitable for 1-4 players ages 13 and up.
THE STORY
Dear Crux Club Team,
I’ve recently purchased several works of art by Clarity Charmer at the Keefer & Company auction in Boston, MA. Clarity disappeared after the sale, and I hope you can discover her whereabouts.
Clarity is a synesthete and experiences many senses simultaneously. Her synesthesia and prolific art creation came on suddenly a year ago. The art is rumored to be a coded message revealing the clandestine activities of a secret organization to which she belonged.
A note I found tucked into the frame of a peculiar piece reads:
“Dear Observer,
The machine that can unlock the wonders of the mind is being threatened, and you could be the answer to protecting it. If you complete the Golden Path, you will acquire superintelligence and become extremely rich.”
I must know if Clarity was involved in anything that may put me at risk as the owner of these works (as a billionaire CEO of Puzzle Proxy Global).
I remain,
Wilbur Johnson
