THE PROPHECY
While hiking the Kaaterskill Clove in the Catskill Mountains, you discover an ancient bundle of objects hidden in a stone notch and contact the Northeast Tribal Confederacy.
The Elders tell you an old native story of a True Spirit who will appear bearing the sacred bundle of advancement, the Mishaami Eshkam. Acknowledging the True Spirit to be you, they entrust you with a deep tribal secret: the Prophecy of the Nine Awakenings.
This Prophecy speaks of an event where the balance of the world tips into an unnatural way of life. There are warnings that the catastrophe has begun. Offerings must be made around the Catskill Mountains to invoke the spirits and stop the destruction of all living things.
Powerful people want to keep the prophecy hidden for their own selfish benefit, and Brave Raven, the compiler of the stories, has gone missing. You are appointed as the new Keeper of the Clues. Using the online repository of folklore stories as your guide, and the Mishaami Eshkam drawings and objects, you set out to fulfill the Prophecy of the Nine Spirits.

THE ADVENTURE
During this unique and epic adventure, you will connect with an ancient past and hike to enigmatic sites that have been hiding in plain sight. This is a rigorous challenge that involves hiking and puzzling. It may take around fourteen hours to complete. Hike speed, travel times, and solve times will vary.
Hiking experience is recommended.
You will be going off-trail for a few of the locations. If you are not comfortable with this, you can skip those locations.
