Child in the Bell
Break the spell. Free the girl.
Ebbie was four years old when her parents' relationship shattered in 1922. Humphrey suspected his wife Mildred was getting too deep into the occult. After evidence pointed to family livestock being used in arcane rituals, the judge and townsfolk ostracized Mildred and forbade her to see Ebbie.
Consumed with jealousy over the case outcome, Mildred crafted a silver bell containing the likeness of Ebbie. With fire, a spell, and a bundle of personal possessions, Ebbie's soul was taken from her body and came alive in the cursed bell you see before you.
Mildred passed away years later. The bell has since been passed through many households, with people oblivious to the fact that the spirit of a child was trapped within.
You, however, can hear the voice of Ebbie whispering from the bell. Find a way to release her soul from the chains of the spell…
Help me! I’ve been trapped in here for so long.
A candle was never added to the plate the statue holds, so the bell was never finished. Because of this detail, the spell can be reversed by reciting the reversal word.
The cup that Mildred used to mix her spell-potion is the key. Help me remember my fondest memory, and the spell will be broken.
Pairs of numbers will get the letters from the cup key!
1. # of bows in my hair, roses (2, 3)
2. Unluckiest number (13)
3. Skull and crossbones, roses (4,3)
4. Skull and crossbones, roses (4,3)
5. Roses, skull and crossbones (3,4)
